Abstract
Causal Dynamical Triangulations in four dimensions provide a background-
independent definition of the sum over geometries in nonperturbative quantum
gravity, with a positive cosmological constant. We present evidence that a macro-
scopic four-dimensional world emerges from this theory dynamically.
