Stereoselective trans-addition of D2 to the coordinated RN-C(R1)C(H)=NR ligand in FeRu(CO)6(R-DAB; R1, H(6e)) to afford FeRu(CO)6(m,m'-N(R)CR1DCHDN(R)) (R= i-Pr, R1 = Me, H; R = p-Tol, R1 = H). Kinetic 1H NMR studies of the hydroge-nation at hydrogen pressures between 1 and 70 bar. Single crystal X-ray structure determinations of FeRu(CO)6(m,m'-N(R)CH2CRHN(R)) (R = i-Pr and R1 =H, Me).1
