Abstract
Biofilm formation is a general strategy for bacterial pathogens to withstand host defense mechanisms. In this study, we found that serum proteases inhibit biofilm formation by Neisseria meningitidis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Haemophilus influenzae, and Bordetella pertussis.
