Abstract
Background: Patients with arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy may suffer from lethal ventricular arrhythmias. Arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy is predominantly triggered by mutations in plakophilin-2, a key component of cell-to-cell adhesion and calcium cycling regulation in cardiomyocytes.
