Hibridez genérica en el espejo: Angelina Muñiz-Huberman y María Zambrano

Abstract

Starting point of this comparative study is the generic hybridity that characterizes the work by the Spanish-Mexican author Angelina Muñiz-Huberman. What are the underlying reasons for this hybrid writing? To answer this question, the study compares her work with that of the Spanish philosopher Maria Zambrano who uses a similar style. The contribution of our view -through Zambrano’s mirror- consists of highlighting two complementary sides of Muñiz-Huberman’s project. From the perspective of modern conventions that set norms in philosophy and literature, generic hybridity is justified as a way to innovate by transgressing borders. From the angle of Antiquity and mysticism, on the other hand, generic hybridity is motivated as a path to restore the unity of Orpheus’ mythical language, that reconciles poetry, religion and philosophy.
