Abstract
We present a simple rate-reduced neuron model that captures a wide rangeof complex, biologically plausible, and physiologically relevant spiking behavior.This includes spike-frequency adaptation, postinhibitory rebound, phasic spiking andaccommodation, first-spike latency, and inhibition-induced spiking.
