Abstract
The convulsant drug 4-aminopyridine (4-AP) stimulates the phosphorylation of the neuron-specific presynaptic protein B-50 in hippocampal slices. This effect could be attenuated by the protein kinase C (PKC) inhibitor staurosporine.
