De kroniek als ‘tekstueel medium’. Een mediologisch perspectief op een literair genre

Abstract

In Francophone literary studies, research on press and literature has recently grown into a full and dynamic research field, with some pioneering work, numerous collective publications, recognized research centers, networks and websites. This article first discusses the emergence of this research paradigm, its primary concerns and its importance in a larger, mediological approach of literature. Subsequently, a number of insights will be explained on the basis of a case study of literator and essayist Bernard Frank and the genre of the chronique.
