Nog een zestiende-eeuws rekenboekje teruggevonden

Abstract

SUMMARY: In his Livre d'Arithmeticque, edited at Antwerp in 1561, Valentin Mennher set 100 problems on arithmetic and trigonometry, followed by the 'facit'. It was known that Michiel Coignet wrote a treatise on these problems under the title Cent Questions Ingeniveuses..., Antwerp 1573, but there was only one copy of the book known, located at the University of Louvan. This library was burnt down in 1914. I discovered a copy of the booklet in the Museum Plantin Moretus, Antwerp.
