Digitale edities en letterenonderzoek, een verkenning

Abstract

In this article we discuss a new method to digitize Dutch seventeenth century love emblems, in order to show how the application of XML enables researchers to integrate their editorial work with their scholarly research. The final product of this new editorial technique is a flexible and fully searchable set of data, which can be presented as a 'traditional' edition in the form of a book, but also as a handleable and verifiable collection of indexes and search forms.
