Abstract
From the Dingle Group, southwest Ireland, generally considered to be of Downtonian age, a presumed Late Emsian palynological assemblage is described, which supports a considerably younger age of the group, viz. late Early Devonian-Middle Devonian.
The species Cymbosporites hornei n.sp. is described and the new combination Cymbosporites crassus (Riegel) nov. comb.
