Abstract
The adenohypophysis of catfish and
other teleosts consists of morphologically
and functionally different cell types.
Hormone synthesis and release in some of
these cell types are controlled by similar
hypothalamic peptidergic and aminergic
systems. In vivo also blood-born steroids
