Abstract
New paleomagnetic data are presented from Tuscany and the Southern Alps (Italy). A
paleomagnetic study of the autochthonous Verrucano near Siena revealed two characteristic
paleomaghetic directions, one of the Ladinian to Carnian Verrucano (D = 301.1”)
