Abstract
In many teleost species, including the
African catfish, gonadotropin (GTH) secretion
is subject to a gonadotropin-releasing
hormone (GnRH) stimulation.
Besides this GnRH stimulation a dopaminergic
inhibition has been demonstrated.
Dopamine acts indirectly by blocking the
GnRH-induced GTH release.
