Abstract
In female zebrafish ovulation could be induced by male holding water, testis homogenates, and testis fractions containing steroid glucuronides. Deglucuronidation of these fractions led to a loss of ovulation-inducing potency, indicating steroid glucuronides as ovulation inducers.
