Abstract
It is well-known that the movement of adenine nucleotides
(AdN) across the inner mitochondrial membrane
is markedly decreased both by unsaturated and by saturated long-chain fatty acids. A
similar effect is displayed by palmityl-CoA as demonstrated
recently with isolated mitochondria of rat heart
and rat liver
