Abstract
COPI vesicles that surround
the Golgi stack were first implicated in the
anterograde movement of cargo,
and then in the retrograde movement of
Golgi enzymes. Recently, their role has been
challenged again, and we discuss new data
that both confirm and modify our view of
these carriers.
