Subtitling Miranda: Audiovisual Translation studied and applied to Best New British TV Comedy of 2011 Miranda.

Abstract

For this thesis I subtitled three episodes of Miranda into Dutch, focusing on textual and character analysis, conventions with regard to subtitling, the difficulties of translating humour and songs.
